| I've grown to love the NLT as a translation and find it to be a great translation to use when sharing the gospel of Christ with unbelievers. This pocket sized, leather-like binding is perfect. I carry it with me everywhere I go. The print is very legible and red letter too! Great choice for new and mature believers - and even unbelievers. |

| I gave my other New Testament away which I used to carry with me. This one is much lighter in my work bag. There is Red lettering in it also. The print is not so incredibly small that I need a magnifying glass to read. Great sizing; not too thick either. |

| I was unfamiliar with this translation, until I found this when looking for an NT to fit in the pocket to take on holiday last year. I've grown to enjoy it very much. The translators' philosophy is to express the sense of each thought in modern English, rather than producing a literal word-for-word translation. As such, it is excellent for reading [as distinct from studying]; and in many places I found the sense springing off the page to illuminate passages in unsuspected ways. A great find: specially good as it also has the Psalms and Proverbs. [I recommend the leatherette covered edition, which is wearing well after a year of regular use!] |
