| This was a well made, nice Bible. I really wanted something with more notes, annotations, charts, maps, sitebars. That's what I think of when I see Study Bible. That's not what this is. This is a beautiful Bible that is well put together. I love the Message translation / Paraphrase side by side with my NIV. The binding and packaging of this Bible is excellent. If you are looking for a parallel Bible of these two translations, this is an excellent choice.
However, I was disappointed by the notes content of this publication. I thought I was going to get a very thorough study Bible in addition to the Parallel texts. I was disappointed that this edition did not have as much content in the notes as I was looking for in a Study Bible. I would advise anyone interested in a good study Bible to go to a local bookstore to look at these editions before purchasing one.
